New hydraulic distribution system at FMC in Horten

SPOT AS has delivered a new hydraulic and glycol system to FMC in Horten, built with super duplex tubing, orbital welding, and high-pressure tolerance – a robust solution tailored for a demanding test environment.

SPOT AS has completed a new hydraulic/glycol distribution system at FMC’s test center in Horten.

The system was built using super duplex tubing to maintain precise internal diameter and withstand a maximum pressure of 470 bar. A total of 700 meters of tubing was installed, including control cabinets. All pipe joints were orbital welded to eliminate potential leak points and reduce the cost of super duplex fittings.

Scope of delivery: Design, engineering, procurement, fabrication, and testing.
The installation included ½” and 5/8” tubing.
Media in the system: Super duplex, glycol, and hydraulic oil.
